RE: SE finally up in the air

gazevedo-

Super nice job on your SE! This will surely be my next plane (as well as my first kit), and I'm looking forward to getting started on this project. I have only flown "ARF's", but I...

RE: Taming a Tiger (2)

Thanks, Tony.
You're right, I WILL be alright. I WILL sort this problem out and fly this plane on windy days. No way am I going to sit on the sidelines and watch everyone else have all the fun.

RE: Taming a Tiger (2)

Thanks for the encouragement, guys.
I'll really buckle down and practice my landings. First, I'm going to have my plane looked over by a friend at the club. I did balance the plane laterally, but...

RE: Trouble at the LHS

roltech,

RE: Ziroli P-38 almost done

Well, you should be proud (as I'm sure you are). She is simply outstanding.

I'll bet it was worth the effort. The BIG payoff after so much labor. (The cool thing about this hobby is that...

RE: Taming a Tiger (2)

Thanks, Tony.
I'll be sure to spend some time with one of the club instructors. Sure sounds like it would be time well spent for a rookie like me.
I do, however, feel like an idiot, in that I...

RE: Ziroli P-38 almost done

Awsome!
How many hours have you invested in a plane like this, longeze?
I am new to this sport and can only imagine the time and effort (and skills) it takes to end up with such a jaw-dropping...

nice post, very funny.:D
I am new to the sport, and am looking forward to becoming a builder instead of an ARF'er, but if Egor has a bat, well, he might no have to twist my arm too hard to...

RE: Taming a Tiger (2)

Thank you all so much for the input and advice!!!
The overwhelming oppinion seems to be that I am landing this plane way too slowly. After thinking about it a while, I'm sure you all are 100%...

Taming a Tiger (2)

Without going into a bunch of detail, which would do more to bore you all than inform you, I'll cut to the nuts and bolts of my question....

My second plane, a Tiger II, seems to be much more...

RE: i mastered a sim now what

Heh, heh, look at the times of our posts--
we were typing "4 Star" and "Tiger 2" at the same time, I just beat you to the "Post reply" button by a few seconds.

I do want to comment on one...

RE: i mastered a sim now what

I think anyone who has mastered an r/c flight simulator could learn to fly on either a Four Star or a Tiger 2. Especially if your first few times were with an instructor on a 'buddy box'.

I...

RE: Help cleaning an engine after a crash.

Thanks everyone.
I'm going to follow Campy's directions after dinner tonight. Seems like the best process to be sure that the engine is completely clean and in good working order.
I'll be sure...

Help cleaning an engine after a crash.

Well, I had my first crash Sunday. My trainer had a mid-air with a low wing stick. He hit me from behind, and his prop smashed my horizonal stab which flew off as well as the vertical stab.
My...
