Old post but yeah, +1 on the WC motor. I had one on a JR Ergo .60 and flew beautifully and the engine was the easiest to tune.

I don't see why not. One pilot and one camera operator. You would need a good camera with detailed zoom so the aircraft would not have to fly too close to the lines themselves. For piloted long...

Go used. You can pick up a decent Futaba 7c or 8/9 channel FM with servos and have money left over for the gyro and servo. Don't listen to "you have to have 2.4" I still fly Fm just fine with no...

Old post and wanted to also share my experience. I had a Maxx running like a scalded dog. Snappy throttle and wide open was fast. Wouldn't hang on the pipe when I let off but eventually the lower...

RE: Nose hunts to the right?

Set up with a few degrees right tail angle. Hover in rate mode and trim or mechanically move so it will hover and stay put in rate mode. This will now be neutral in HH mode. Do not trim in HH mode or...

RE: Battery help please

I use those same regulators. The connector on the side is for adjusting the voltage. I run mine at 5.1 but I believe they will adjust up to 6V. You just short the pins and have a meter hooked up....

RE: what battery for raptor 50 nitro

Depends. Keep it if it works and your just flying around. I would just have a LED gauge for it so you can monitor the power. I have since went to the Lipo/LiFe 2 cell with a regulator on mine after...

RE: Can I get parts?

Nice bird. I always say get as big as you can afford. If you can hover a 450, you can hover a 90. Just turn the throttle curve to around 50% and hit the dual rates(Air/Ele) on like 65% and you love...

RE: My Raptor cuts out.

32 is plenty powerful enough. I do loops and rolls with my Hawk Sport that is 12 years old. Better mileage too. I have tuned a .39 and was a bit more difficult than the .32 I have but doable. Setting...

RE: My Raptor cuts out.

LS sounds lean turn it out 1/2 a turn. Set the HS to whatever the factory recommends. Start it up then spool up to about 30% to get her warm. If is sloppy rich with lots of smoke, then turn the LS in...

RE: First outdoor heli?

I was going to say as big as you can afford. $65 is not going to get you anything that can handle anything above a light breeze. Even one of the cheap, clone 450's(still not great for a beginner in...

RE: Intermediate helicopter wanted! Please help :)

$150:D Fly outdoors:) Bash?[&:] Helicopters shouldn't be bashed. leaving bashing to trucks and buggies. Scale bodies cost as much as the helo. For $150 and your specs it doesn't exist.

RE: BILDING A 500 CLONE AND ELECTRONICS GET SUPER HOT...HELP

Too much heat is too much current. Check your throttle and pitch curve and make sure you are not too steep on the pitch in a hover. 5.5-6 degrees is all you need. Throttle curve can be as low as 55%...

RE: New guy questions

I use a Gy-601 on my Hawk Sport and a JR 770 on my Predator. HH is just for hovering and approaches for me. Rate mode is just so much smoother in FF and scale flying. I still have my G 153 BB, 154...

RE: Adding 2 stroke engine oil to nitro

I have run 10% airplane fuel all the way up to 22% Powerage with 20% oil heli fuel with no issues other than more smoke. It's all in the tune. If your running 380 your tune is not right. Richen up...
