I've cooked mine in the oven and didn't notice a smell hardly at all...of course I turned on the vent right above it, but I prefer the oven to removing the tires from the rims rather than boiling...

could be your one way bearing. if it is the one way bearing then a pullstart won't be much help either. does it sound like the motor is spinning but just not turning the engine over?

also you can stop your engine by stopping the flywheel with your shoe or even your thumb if it is idleing low enough. Just in case your exhaust pops off someday and the exhaust header is too hot to...

also make sure the shafts aren't bent...lift the truck up and if the wheels extend the rest of the way then they are fine but if one wheel sticks then it one of the shafts could be bent.

I've had my sportmaxx for a little over a year now, I've found that before I broke bulkheads and A-arms mostly I went to Fast Lane Machine aluminum bulkheads and RPM a arms and haven't had a problem...

I've got the sirio big bore pipe, I had it on my 2.5 until it got worn out now I have it on my ofna/picco 21. I've had good luck with it and think it's a pretty nice pipe.

I've used after run oil the entire time I've been doing nitro R/C. Traxxas built their engine and they should know what works best but I just feel more comfortable using after run oil.

that's about how Traxxas says it, but just know that .15 and 2.5 are the same size engine and the description could say it any way metric or standard...the Pro engine is the older one and the TRX...

because you had referred to the old engine as the .15 and the new one as the 2.5. Could just be confusing because he didn't understand that the .15 was cubic inches and the 2.5 was cubic...

don't let what t to the maxx2 confuse you, both engines are the same size just different engines...the engine before that was put into the tmaxx was the Pro .15ci/2.5cc and the TRX .15ci/2.5cc that...
