There is another method to copy a plug using a layered buildup of a rubberlike mold material. Such a mold is less durable than a fiberglass resin type, but may be suitable for limited reproductions....

Unless you plan to make several hulls, a "fiberglass resign" mold is expensive. It's now $ 35 or more a gallon.

They’re regular bilge pumps for regular boats, made to be reliable. I view them as perfect turbines for model subs.
