I have a canopy hatch for the bird, got it new a while ago and never used it... don't have box for it but will ship.....pay postage and a few dollars... they are only 12 bucks new... if any one needs...

Seagull models Extra 260, 74"wingspan, 160-210 $249
JR 821 servos all around $30bucks each x6

CMOulder please stop telling people that lie. This plane flies great with a DA-50.... I have mine at 14.5 lbs with a DA-50 and the wing loading at 29oz/ft. it flies great.... floats like its on...

i cut pieces of fuel tubing and use it for washers on the bolts that are screwed into blind nuts that i glued on the fuse..

well here is an update on the LI-ion batteries. i am using a 2cell 7.2 volt battery with regulator. this thing is unbelievable..... 5 flights and almost still fully charged. I only used 300mah...

then again after i just calculated my weight. i am at 2lbs,10ozs with the onboard glow up front so you might be in the ball park, would depend on your battery placement in the rear of the plane.

well for the extra, that motor would be too heavy. today i flew mine and it was quite nose heavy. I moved the on-board glow to the nose with battery and it weighs only 1oz and put on the wheel...

I am using the os 160, here is one pic on the first install, i have recently put all glow stuff in the nose to keep all wires short.

It was so nice today playing with my Extra, had the field all to myself too. Well i figured out the expert on-board glow thingy. oh how sweet. The expert glow works like a charm when it is hooked...

the os 160 performs supurbly on the seagull. I would not want to give up any performance by switching to a gas motor. I want easy start reliability and that is causing me to wonder about switching...
