Dr.J Bipe Pics

Several years ago (like 1990), Don Lowe discussed the modifications he had done on a Ultimate bipe. He used annehedral on the top wing and positive incidence on the horizontal stab to eliminate the...

Fuel setup problems ST g20/23

Hi Aerobob,

Very nice site. I think I am going to have to try the 'fix' on the carb. It should be an interesting project. What have I got to loose? I will never use the stock carb as is....

Fuel setup problems ST g20/23

Hi wowbagger,

The model number for the non-pumped version is Perry #5001 Mega carb. They also make a pumped version. The DH Models pipe, that I use, pressurizes the tank considerably eliminating...

I don't think there was an offer to exchange the carbs in the US. I have 2 of these with documented questions to Hobby Services on one. I just recently saw a post by BAX in the Super Tigre support...

.65 K & B Sportster engine

My K&B 65 was also very tight. I gave it a long break-in. That was in 1988, and I still use this engine today. I add castor and swing a big prop. I put it on .40 - .45 sized planes and use it...

It sounded OK on the ground, but would dead stick after...

DarZeelon in the Hospital

Hey Dar,

I hope you get better soon. I think that you will find that modeling is a much better hobby than doing the hospital thing.

Seriously, I hope all turns out for the best.

Your...

H.P. question

The Sportster 65 has an unusual power curve. It is more like a 4 cycle 65 in prop selection. I use a 13 x 6 on .40 planes. The engine needs extra oil. I use 22% lube.

The stock muffler is very...

Does anyone recognize this engine?

Looks like a Fox 40. The butterfly carb dates it to before my R/C days. I would guess mid-70's, but perhaps someone can give you more specific details.

Mvvs .77

It is not uncommon to have to fine tune the high end after adjustment of the low end needle. The Super Tigre has to be the best example of this, but all that proves is that it may need some fine...

Cox Lovers : What do I have here?

Bubbafly,

The engine with the R/C carb is the Queen bee .074

The other engine looks like a Tee Dee .049( I believe the .051 had red nylon parts).

enjoy,
