I assume you offering on the A50- 10S. I really need to get $70.00 including shipping. The only way you can tell this motor is used is by some tapedmarkings on the leads and some scratches on the X...

Last time I talked to Woodstock they were being killed by the Farmers' Market which made weekend business nearly impossible. He was looking to move outside the city limits, but hadn't found a...

RE: 3's & 500 watts

First off 3S = 4.2 X 3 which yields 12.6 volts. The next question is what is the discharge "C" of the pack. 500 watts would require amp amp draw of approximately 40. This is not an unreasonable...

RE: I'm Back, and ready to build a new plane.

Welcome to the IBS club (I've Been Screwed). The changes in the hobby in the last five years approach monumental. Biggest is the switch to 2.4 technology, but 72 mhz still works fine. I only...

RE: Twin Otter batteries

Duration is a function of amp draw; if you want more duration either install packs with a higher MAH rating or reduce amp draw (as you do when reducing throttle). Going to a 4S pack of the same mah...

RE: T8FGsuper and Sullivan Skywriter smoke

I don't quite understand your problem. Let me get o my shop and make sure my memory is okay as my first post was entirely from memory.

RE: T8FGsuper and Sullivan Skywriter smoke

This about the same as elevator compensation in a powered glider. Open Program Mixes 1-6. Make your throttle channel the Master and Aux 1 the slave. You'll have to play with the percentage of...

RE: Major RC Universe upgrade planned for Monday - This should be COOL!

Don't have much confidence in the upgrade when they can't get the date right!

RE: bad lipo

With a little care, caution and common sense it is not hard to pull a bad cell out and reconfigure a pack. There was a very recent thread either here or on Wattflyer on ways to do this. But DO NOT...

RE: I ruined my Lipo

I've heard of people using Brian's method, but there's one other tool needed - a fire extinguisher with the safety pin pulled (-:

RE: I ruined my Lipo

A separate rx battery wouldn't have made any difference. The ESC draws power as long as it's connected to the battery. Anything that puts a draw on the Lipo will kill it (and this one IS dead) over...

RE: Newbie questions re power...

The advice above is sound. I own several E-Flite/Hangar9 birds. The less expensive recommendation is ALWAYS under-powered. I'd go with the P-32. You'll be a lot happier.

As a newbie save...

RE: E-flight Power 90 question

The problem with just tapping the magnet back in place is that it might move again and has the potential to destroy the motor.

I run several E-flite motors and find them generally pretty good...

RE: E-flight Power 90 question

I'd pull the motor apart and reposition the magnet, then smear the whole can with J&B weld. work it into the slots and then wipe the magnet surfaces clean. I routinely do this with Turnigy motors as...

RE: speed controls

Head room on an ESC will NOT cause a motor to burn up! Lack of airflow is what's doing it. Also the air exit next to be at least twice the area of the inlet.

Sadly, I burned up a motor this...
