I run a 30,5" 3-blade Varioprop on my K-100TP. Set at 19" pitch it does about 4.500 rpm on the ground.
In theory a 5-blade 26,8" prop should put about the same load on the engine as a 30,5" 3-blade,...

On my Valach 210 fourstroke I have seen gains of more than 30% compared to static rpm. In this case from 4.600 static to 6.200-6.300 in the air.
So my guess is that you can expect gains of about...

I have no experience with the Evo 260 myself, but running a propeller with only 12 in pitch strikes me as odd. The Moki 250, which is more or less similar in size and power I guess, normally uses...

Theory says:
2-blade to 3-blade. Keep pitch, multiply diameter by 0,904
2-blade to 4-blade. Keep pitch, multiply diameter by 0,84
All else being equal, blade design, airfoil etc, a 3- or 4-blade...

I have a GT-80 on a BUSA 1:3 Super Cub. At the moment I have a Fiala 26x10 propeller mounted, but have also flown with a Fiala 28x8 cut down to 27". Both props spin around 6K and provides tons of...

What most people forget, when calculating pitch speed, is the airfoil of the prop. The pitch is only measured as the physical twist of the blade, but no allowance is made for the airfoil lift itself....

I have used both Fiala and Menz 26x8 on my stock G-62.
The Menz only did about 5300 rpm, but still pulled ok, and the Fiala was just about 6K due to it loading a lot less than the Menz.

The Fiala...

I ran a Fiala 30x16x2 on my King 140RV twin. This spun at about 5300 rpm and provided lots of speed even for a draggy towplane with an 18% airfoil.
Guessing that your 170 makes quite a bit more...

I dont know about the 180, but my homemade geared 124 cc inline pulls the same prop at about the same rpm as my Moki 250. So my guess is, that the Moki 180 can be compared to a 80-100 cc two-stroke,...
