Been too hot, too windy or on fire to fly at our field.
In the mean time I have 3D printed covers for the gear mounts.

A long time since the last post regarding this model. I have had one in a box for years and decided to build it. Had a good read of this thread.
To reduce the nose weight, I lightened the back end....

RE: EME new engines, 35,60 & 120 twin

Here is a clip of it running.
Unfortunately it is just me holding a GoPro at the same time so its not going to win an Oscar.
With the cannister secured, it got to 6500rpm and was idling at 1200....

RE: EME new engines, 35,60 & 120 twin

Finally got to run the 120 in my run rig using cannisters (for the neighbours). Used the EME plugs, but will change out later. Easy to start, choke on, pumped fuel up line, flicked once and it...

RE: EME new engines, 35,60 & 120 twin

I can confirm mine does NOT have the DA/DLE 100/120/111 prop bolt pattern, which is a bummer as I drilled a new prop as another spare for my DA120 just recently.
Didn't get to set up the EME and...

RE: EME new engines, 35,60 & 120 twin

Some weights for the EME120. Bare motor (no ign) plus plugs = 83.3oz (2363g), mufflers (pair) 5.8oz (164g). Plugs are EME brand, ign is Rcxl.

RE: EME new engines, 35,60 & 120 twin

That is a pain, but I have a few spare I can drill. If I get time tomorrow I'll put it on my run rig. Only proves it will start and run though. The finish is good but not perfect. The 55II I have is...

RE: EME new engines, 35,60 & 120 twin

raydar, I picked up a 120 today. I just measured both pots using the same method as before and got 60.25cc.

RE: EME new engines, 35,60 & 120 twin

I have the 55MkII, it has a swept volume of 53.2cc from my measurements. Not what you wanted. I'm looking at the 120 for a tug, but I do like my DA120 that is in another.

RE: Large Eurofox Project

That was quick Alex, certainly looks the part. Secondhand Moki/RCS 150?
Post more pics and info, I'm keen to see it all. Looks like you could do floats as well from that porch view.
For my...

RE: Large Eurofox Project

Yep, have considered a radial but it will be a tug as well so I'll go with a large twin of some kind for simplicity and budget probably a DA150. I have nearly completed the fuselage in devCad. A bit...

Large Eurofox Project

Anyone built a large Eurofox/Kitfox/Skyfox/Aerotrek A220 or know of one out there? I'm toying with 1/2 scale but will probably go 40%. Need a push to start and am in the "will I or won't I" stage.

RE: 14mz Can not create process

Thanks for the reply Bill, it happens on boot up but did happen once while setting up a model. Sometimes after thinking for a while with the message displayed (1 to 3mins), it will start OK and work...

RE: Model Data Convertor

Thanks for the reply Bax. The FX40 seems to be fine.
The model memory was transferred to the CF card via the convertor. So it should just be new model. We tried a few things, but it still xfers as...

Model Data Convertor

Hi, new FX30 (12FG) user here and a friend has a FX40 (14MZ).
Using Model Data Convertor I've transferred some models to his radio but the sailplane memories keep transferring as motor glider. I...

RE: Austar cessna 188 AG Husky Review

After a bit of flying on the weekend, a dead stick into long grass tested the original gear mod I did. It bent one side a little and a wheel hub failed. I changed the wheels and straightened the...

RE: Big Stick85 by AMR

Have the model assembled under the house but too dark for good pictures.
I have a long day at work tomorrow so if I get home before dark I'll try then.

It is BIG. The 150 must be monsterous!

Have nearly completed the airframe, if it isn't raining too much later I'll take some pics and post. Has gone together pretty well.
