RE: Tower Hobbies Uproar 40 build

I also, have not made any progress I'm sorry to say. I'm in the middle of home improvements, spring yard work and the 'flood' here in RI. I ended up with 4 inches of water in my basement (and my...

RE: Tower Hobbies Uproar 40 build

Hey, all I have a quick question.

RE: Tower Hobbies Uproar 40 build

Hey all,

Rick, I'll post a couple of pics when I'm a little further along, or if i decide to do something 'unusual'. I kept the ailerons stock as I kind of like the looks of them. They are...

RE: Tower Hobbies Uproar 40 build

Looking good Rick. I've made some progress on my pair. Tail groups are built and 3 out of 4 wing panels. I added half an inch to both rudders. I picked up some replacement 1/2 by 1/4 balsa as some...

RE: First Kit Build 4*60

You will enjoy the 4*, it;'s one of those you bring every week. Touch and goes are blast and on a day with a stiff wind you can just hang it out on the breeze. It will turn towards the belly on any...

RE: nose heavy

1. You might consider using a bigger battery. If you gotta add weight might as well be useful.
2. Consider adding tail wires. Again, useful weight and that's pretty far back.
3. Use a bigger...

RE: Tower Hobbies Uproar 40 build

We'll my 46AX really likes the 12x4 APC, (was on an OMP fusion) but from what I understand that (or bigger) may not be an option with the stock landing gear. If I have the clearance I'll start with...

RE: Astro-Hog Build

If you have not glued your hinges, you could trim the outer edge of the ailerons and bring them outboard a bit, separating your control rods a little. Just a thought. Myself, i usually cover them...

RE: First Kit Build 4*60

It looks great. Ditto to the suggestions above, both about it building tail heavy and the weak spot behind the wings. Mount your engine well forward on its mount, and put your battery beneath the...

RE: First Kit Build 4*60

What are you going to power her with?

I've built 2 of those myself, 1 stock, 1 with a clipped wing and pull-pull extended rudder. Both flew well with TT 91 4 stroker. I'm getting ready to...

I put a super tigre 90 in my harrier 90 and have yet to fly it. The tank position is MUCH to high if you plan on mounting the engine inverted according to seaguls instructions. The engine floods...

RE: Sig Four-Star 60

You can take a bay off of each wing (about 3" each end) without changing the landing charactorics much. Don't know of anyone who has taken 2 bays off, maybe someone else here has tried that?

RE: What size 4-stroke Saito for Sig Hog Bipe?

I built mine with a TT 91. Guy at my field had a saito 91 in his, both a good match.

RCKen is right, a two stroke is just not right in a bipe!
