RE: Fail safe ??????

Plug one end of the failsafe to your rx and the other end for the servo. You can only install one way so its hard to mess it up.

RE: nitro car help needed

You can do a test called "spit test." Do a search on this subject on this board to find out how. You can also get a temp gun. They are now fairly cheap.

RE: nitro car help needed

I did not know that carlson still makes cars. I thought they went out of the rc car back in `99. I know they are still in boats and planes. Don't have a site for you though.

RE: Kyosho FW-05R or Factory Team TC3?

Kudos to Boost-Dragon.

Boost-Dragon - I take it you run the V1RR? Sounds like your car is a good setup. I run the RR and the EVO. RR is dialed and still learning the EVO.

RE: foam tires wearing unevenly

R40Victim - hope your team ordered the automatic one. I use the cobra trackside and wish I have something that is automatic and can put an offset during truing. I normally true my front tires a bit...

RE: Kyosho FW-05R or Factory Team TC3?

Go with the Kyosho. I've driven HPI, AE, Mugen and Kyosho. Between all those, Kyosho and Mugen offers a lot of tuneability and tricks for handling out of the box.

RE: foam tires wearing unevenly

Is your front underdriven (as in under drive through gearing)? What type of car. Have you considered truing the tire?

RE: tuned pipe damage-your opinions

ok2pk - what adamshowtime said is one way. I use a long nose plier (one which the clippers both fit in the stinger) to reshape. The cone-shape of the plier gives me more options in reshaping the...

RE: tuned pipe damage-your opinions

Small dents does not affect the functionality of the pipe. The only issue would be if the stinger outlet restricts outflow. The ice trick does work for the pipe but not the stinger.

RE: T-MAXX Reciever in an electric car

You can use your receiver into any car (electric or nitro). You just use channel 1 and 2 slots. Channel 1 for the ESC and 2 for the steering. Your ESC should have four thick wires and one wire for...

RE: Fixin to put these on my SS....What advantages if any will the have?

I don't know anything about HPI sway bars specific but, use sway bars in rear for more steering but less rear traction, front for more rear traction but less steering.

RE: .12 carb exchange

You can put an OS carb into an HPI engine. You can also swap carbs between nova based engines within the .12 and .15 engines. I am not sure about the .21 size.

RE: Racing is stupid

So true about the high priced engines. I like RB and 99% of the time use X12 but sometimes switches to the MT12 depending on the situation. I always wondered about modified engines, especially Rody.
