RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

Well it looks pretty darned good to me! The 4-stroke muffler has a perfect mirrored copy of itself in the engine cowling...

Your attention to details is extremely impressive, I even notice the...

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

Hi! Looks awesome! What chrome paint did you use for the lower portion of the engine cowling? I'm working on a "chrome" BARF of the Mustang Quick Silver but have no idea how to get the plastic parts...

RE: HK Rotating Retracts TF Corsair 60 ARF

Do you have a link to these? I went to their site and searched but was unable to find these retracts. Are they 90 or 100 degrees? Thanks.

RE: I Saw it! TF 60 Size Corsair ARF!!!!!

Just an observation I noticed for the 1st time overnight... why does this Corsair model lack gun ports on the wings? LOL!

The TF ARF 60 sized Mustang comes with gun port details that are glued...

RE: I Saw it! TF 60 Size Corsair ARF!!!!!

My only problem with that scheme is that it's an artist's drawing/painting and not an actual picture of the subject matter. The question therefore remains: Was there an actual airplane that had this...

RE: I Saw it! TF 60 Size Corsair ARF!!!!!

@PlaneKrazy214, that fuse looks *excellant* but assuming (and I believe I read earlier on in the posts) that you have painted the monocote...

RE: I Saw it! TF 60 Size Corsair ARF!!!!!

@Da Rock: What is the blue masking tape for on your H9 Corsair you posted gear door pics of? The LADO retract design is awesome, they just need more encouragement to get on-da-ball and build us some...

RE: Lado retracts, do the really exist?

Is that because the mounting rails are slightly curved, or so I've read? I believe I saw where one person made some shims to fit under the back end of the retract he was using so that it would mount...

RE: Lado retracts, do the really exist?

Chris I just received my Top Flite Corsair 60 ARF the other day, and have spent the past 2 days reading all the postings (on RCU) by people who have this plane and there is such an outcry for good...

I now own a Top Flite 60 ARF Corsair, so I'm with ya on the need for this retract! Guess I'll be flying it with the fixed gear for awhile..... so sad. :-(

RE: Lado retracts, do the really exist?

Today I checked Lado-Tech.net site... neither of the US Distributors listed actually carries LADO retracts on their websites. What's the deal Chris?

RE: Lado retracts, do the really exist?

Chris, you also really need US distrubutor(s) who can sell on both Ebay and Amazon... both sites are wildly popular on this side of the pond!

Regards and best wishes!

RE: Lado retracts, do the really exist?

Chris, what happened with your US Distributor Magnum-RC?

You REALLY need a US distributor for these retracts, you're losing out on a REALLY big market here simply because these retracts aren't...

RE: Regarding SP series engines, props and airspeed...

They are made of a black material, Charles. I did nothing to them. They don't seem to be plastic either, I'm not sure what they're made of seems like some kind of graphite or carbon material. I still...

RE: The Usual Cooling Issue

ps. Wanted to throw this out there... to cover up the inlet/outlet holes you can use wire window screen glued to the inside and painted to match. Optically it'll make the cutouts disappear, but still...

RE: The Usual Cooling Issue

I agree! You need to open up a few more slots in your dummy raidal engine plate around the top! Your exit areas look ok, but not enough inlet area there.

Hoggle can you take and post pics?

Try flying it 1 time without the dummy engine cover and see if the 90SP performs correctly; it may have died for other reasons than overheating.

ps. I...
