RE: Starting a Savage with Losi Spin-start??

I have an SWK 26 also on my savage, which is currently pullstart. One thing I don't like about the design of the SWK is that the OWB is inside the engine, whereas the F4.1 it was outside, allowing...

RE: roto start mach 427????

For my fix to remove the OWB from inside the engine block to completely outside, I'd need a F4.1 crank shaft, exacty like this one that has a hollow shaft for the pin to engage the rotostart starting...

RE: roto start mach 427????

Regarding the SW26 v2, did any of you guys change the internal OWB before you installed the rotostart? I have an OWB replacement for the stock F4.1 that would eliminate the need for the OWB...

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?

The ofna throttle mod is cheap (something cheap for once) and very effective. It gives you more flexible control over braking and throttle response, also helps relieve disc brake fade.

There...

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?

What's a better "cheap" pipe to get for a sportwerks .26 v2, an HPI polished tuned pipe or the XTM Mammoth dual chamber tuned pipe? I think they're both around $20 or should I just stick to the...

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?

Broke down and just bought a new sportwerks engine for just under $90. A steal at that price if it works out.

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?

Ok, I'm kind of tired of spending money to fix my stock f4.1 engine and am seriously looking for a new engine. So am looking at the SH 28 or the Sportwerks .26 V2. What I'm trying to buy is a sub...

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?

What are your guys' thoughts on buying some run-of-them-mill generic front and rear bearings for the stock f4.1 engine block versus spending $30 or more for boca bearings?

Also looking at avidrc...

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?

What are you getting? I was looking at an Axial .28 Spec 1s if I were to swap the engine. HPI says the Axial is made by the same manufacturer, Kingstar, but it's pretty cheap and seems to have good...

RE: Anyone Own a Savage X?

Checked everything for air leaks including submerging the tank in water and found no leaks EXCEPT in the front bearing on the engine block. Anyone know how to remove the front bearing and also the...

RE: Disadvantages of mounting receiver and battery box on side....

I moved my battery out to the front towers also, using the sicj battery relo mod. Haven't run it yet, but it really made it A LOT easier to access the receiver in the battery box.

SicJ Battery...

RE: 1 way bearing

I went through 4 OWB's before I was tired of buying new ones. I think when my rotostart broke and i was using a drill, that pretty much screwed up the first one or two, then the last two just kept...
