RE: Nitroplanes Pitts Special 120 aka Pitts M-12-120

Well, not to prod an old thread, but...

I always looked at this plane and said "it needs something." I think I figured it out.

That's right, Flying wires! My wife was on a girls...

RE: Nitroplanes Pitts Special 120 aka Pitts M-12-120

The amount of throw is the problem I have with it as well. I may try to widen the elevator opening to obtain more. I think it has plenty of surface, just not enough throw. I will let you know what...

RE: Nitroplanes Pitts Special 120 aka Pitts M-12-120

I measured the CG again and it falls about 5 1/4 inches on the top wing. It is still a tad tail heavy, but just how I like it. That is with an RCG 26CC up front. Here is a not very good quality...

RE: Nitroplanes Pitts Special 120 aka Pitts M-12-120

Paul, I will slap mine together this weekend and check where my cg is again. I just made a mark at 5" and 6.2" on the top wing, which is the recommended range for the Carl Goldberg. I fell within...

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

I guess it is true what they say, when you cant keep track of them, you have too many planes.... My 55 on my revolver has a 12x8 on it. My 46 on my escapade has the 11x7. Or maybe it...

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

On your 55AX, I will almost bet you are running a pitts style muffler. I had the same problem with mine and plugging one of the exhaust holes with JB Weld solved it. Mine pulls my revolver around...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

Yes, that is the sullivan tail wheel. My advice is to put the one that is rated for .40 to .60 sized planes, as the wire is a little more robust. I have well over 300 flights on that combination...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

The AR500 is classified as a full range receiver. The caveat on them is that the antennas must be installed correctly, one horizontal and one vertical to attain the best signal strength.

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

I am running mine on an ar500 with no problems. I have run mine with a 6200 as well, but I replaced it with the 500.

RE: Great Planes Extra 300 GP/EP

Hi all. I am considering this plane as a home for my 55ax. Does anyone know if that engine will fit in the cowl, mounted sideways, with the stock muffler?
