With those symptoms, Iíd suspect a loose plug cap or a cap that has a bad internal insulator. Has the cap recently contacted anything hard like the ground? Iíd also inspect the plug lead for damage.

If you canít find an original part, you can make a new one from a block of G10 sheet using common hand tools. Often times better and stronger than an original part. Done it several times in the past.
