RE: What Should I do if!!

All I can tell you is that you will probably never get your money back. I had the same problem with a helicopter I bought from a guy here. He ripped off about 10 people with the same helicopter. We...

RE: Air Traffic Delays- I've got a solution!

I've got a C172h. Not the fastest plane on the market, but it will carry 3 adults with luggage and full tanks.

RE: Air Traffic Delays- I've got a solution!

After buying my own plane, I have not flown commercial since 911. It may take a little longer to get there but I never have to be felt up by TSA.

RE: Plans built RC

What you need to do is acquire a set of full size vari-ez or long-ez plans. They are hard to find but still out there. Then you can work off those to build your scaled down plane with your changes or...

RE: Texas RC or CY models Edge 540

I built one for my dad and flew it with a 26cc electronic ignition. With the smaller engine you need a lot of weight to get it to balance. If you go with a bigger engine it will definitely fly better...

RE: Military jets have diverted 3 planes from presidential airspace

I always check for TFR's and NOTAMS before I fly. I've got Garmin Pilot on my ipad and it lets me know of any current TFR's. It's also a good idea to stop by the FBO before heading out. It's a good...

RE: Any RV Flyers Here?

There are 5 guys at our airport who own RV's. (1) RV-6a, (1) RV-7, (2) RV-9"s, and (1) RV-10. A few more locals fly in for lunch. Just about all flew R/C until they moved up. My dreams are to one day...

RE: Drones

One more thing to consider is most of these "bigger" drones will be loitering at fairly high altitude, so the only problem with these UAV's is climb and descent. Just like tethered balloons their...

RE: Drones

I looked through my 2012 FAR/AIM and saw nothing about who has the right of way concerning drones. Looks like they need to clarify. But I can almost guarantee the drone has the right of way.

RE: CY Models ARF Cesna L-19 Bird Dog

One thing to remember when flying this type of plane, it's not an Extra or Edge 540. I was at a big bird fly-in a few months ago and this guy was flying a 40% cub like he "stole" it. Well, as...

RE: How many here fly full-scale?

I own a 1967 C172H. Since flying the big plane ,I haven't had much time for R/C. I still enjoy going out to the local clubs to hang out with the guys and occasionally I'll take one of my dads plane...

BITO, could you post a pic of the section you said failed? My dad sells this plane on his website and I am putting one together for him. I would like to know about these issues with the struts and...

RE: Can you identify this plane please?

Thats a C-17. A C-5 has a very distinct engine sound and the fuse ahead of the wings is longer. Watch a video of each aircraft taking off and you can distinguish between the two without even looking...

RE: PILOT RATINGS AND ENDORSMENTS

Man, I'm way behind the curve. I soloed my C-172 a few weeks ago (9-2-10) at 15 hours. I've got a long way to go before I get my license. Hopefully before next summer. Since I got the Skyhawk my...

RE: Will Futuba servos work in a JR reciever?

You have to use a JR RX, and yes futaba servos will work. You have to cut the tab off the end of the servo lead and make sure it is plugged in the right way. That is match up the +,-, and signal to...
