RE: Hal DeBolt's / Midwest Pattern Master

Ken,
what's the name of the kit?
If you do not sell it, why don't you come to Rochester, NY, the 20th of July, and participate to the Hal deBolt In-Memoriam Fli-In?

RE: Looking for engine review - Super Tigre 60 X

Carlo,
I'm sorry, but I checked and what I have is relevant to a "round head" .61 Rear Exhaust, not the X-60.

I also have an X-60 around, and no report, so I would be interested as well!!!

RE: K&B 61 w/pump starving!!! HELP

Ciao! Unfortunately I cannot give you the remedy (if someone can assist, I will be interested too), but my best bet is a stuck pump. I have many good "old" engines, in a very nice condition, almost...

RE: Designing a new Basic Trainer! Taurus Based.....

Guys, ever thought about the Orion? I'm flying a Taurus right now, and it is very docile and forgiving with a Reed radio ( I have quite a few original reed transmitters modified to digital by Ron...

RE: Can anyone I.D. this engine ?

Hi! My best bet is an original, Russian MDS. All the "English" MDS were made in Russia as well, but there were modification in both the design and the anodizing. This is an original Russian MDS I...

RE: Antique Model Engine Identification

Juggler, the Supertigre engine is a G-15 (evolution of the G20/15), and i do not see anything strange in it, apart from the new head, especially made for cooling during the marine use (instead of a...

RE: Breaking in Magnum FS

According to my experience it does not... The only thing to remeber, thou, is that during the beak-in period you're supposed to run "RICH", which does not mean only SLOW (using the throttle), it...

RE: Why do model engines use so much oil?

Dave, oil is used to lubricate parts and to absorb some of the heat of the combustion. The smaller the engines, the greater the amount of oil. In a COX .049 turning 18K you can use 35% of Nitro, but...

RE: Super Tigre 20 engine information

Hi! The engine is probably a Supertigre 2000, or 20CC (1.20cu.in.). It likes 5% Nitro max, at least in its Italian original version: I do not know if it has any extra head gaskets to reduce...

Guys,
this is my Bar-Fli, that has been flown many times at the VR/Cs reunions. It has an ENYA 60 III for powerplant, turning an 11x7 3/4 around 11.500rpm with 15% Nitro and 23% oil. I use my Kraft...

RE: Enya 60 lll (7033) vs ST G-51

Hi! I would say that the ENYA III is worth a try... And, by the way, the G-51 weighs 365+150=515 grams (with its muffler) while the ENYA III weighs 432+95=527 grams (with its muffler), so the...

RE: Help identifying this classic pattern plane (pics)
