RE: Some shots of my field

Villa, we currently don't have any stands but those of us who have seen how clubs operate in the U.S are always trying to persuade the local field owner to get some. I hope this happens soon but...

RE: Some shots of my field

I'd really enjoy something like that Mike. Maybe when I'm on a trip at the U.S we can meet strictly for some shooting as I highly doubt I'll be able to take one of my planes[:o]. Want to loan me...

RE: Some shots of my field

The blur behind the subject that you mention is commonly referred as bokeh in photo jargon. It largely depends on the aperture value you use to take the picture, the lens, and the distance to the...

RE: Some shots of my field

Korps, it's a Canon Rebel XSi. I've mainly used two lenses for these shots, a Canon 70-300mm and a Canon 28-80mm. Thanks for the comments.

RE: Some shots of my field

Thanks Don. I know I've got some non-plane shots such as the guardian dogs and stuff but I think it portrays our field's environment very well. Thanks for looking.

RE: What part of the build do you like the least?

Everything related to sanding. I can never seem to get an even finish and it ends up frustrating me specially because I don't like to cover just tacking the edges and stretching. I like to iron the...

RE: Really confusing crash (Added pictures)

I've done all my radio setup again inside the plane. The following images show my workaround to the possible antenna blockage. I've placed half the battery under the servo tray and I made a retainer...

RE: Really confusing crash (Added pictures)

Thanks jayjast but my Tx is a 10C, that advisory applies for 6 and 7 channel transmitters and modules only.

RE: Really confusing crash

I have taken that into consideration for my new setup. You're right, the manual states at least 1/2" of clearance with metal objects.

The manual states to try and point the Tx antenna...

RE: Really confusing crash (Added pictures)

Yes, the idea of one antenna being perpendicular to the level flight plane has been suggested a few times and it's something I'll definitely correct.

RE: Confusing crash probably Futaba RX related

The load came from a Hobbico Expanded Scale Voltmeter which loads the battery for testing.

RE: Really confusing crash (Added pictures)

I'm trying to figure out how to manage the space in the plane to be able to do this although the manual states that the part that must stay as straight as possible is the silver tip at each end.

RE: Really confusing crash (Added pictures)

I wish I could do that but I'm located at Bogota, Colombia, South America. The shipping costs would come up to the price of a new Rx.

RE: Really confusing crash (Added pictures)

What was suggested over at the radio forums makes some sense to me.

RE: Really confusing crash (Added pictures)

But if the battery or any power connection is faulty and the power supply gets interrupted during split second but it then comes back, then the result would be those 2-3 seconds while the Rx locks...

RE: Really confusing crash (Added pictures)

I have already tested the power connections and they appear to be solid. I will be replacing the power switch just in case. I use that receiver because it came with my 10C and couldn't afford another...

RE: Confusing crash probably Futaba RX related

It's a 4 cell pack. It showed 5.0v under load. I will see how can I get the antennas to be further from the battery and I will try to position one vertically as you said. Thanks a bunch.

RE: Really confusing crash (Added pictures)

I did just after the crash. I even had someone take the plane out far near the place of the incident and I stood with the Tx where I was standing at the time it failed. I couldn't reproduce it.
