Hey, thanks Jason.

Thanks for your recommendation to use a separate Rx pack rather than rely upon the BEC in the ESC for powering the radio. I fully understand the reasons why. But I wonder about...

I don't need the outer sleeves, so what are your prices, dimensions and weights of the tubes required?

The wing tube is 22mm x 575mm and the stab tube is 10mm x 357mm.

Thanks!

That's something I was already considering, but was afraid to try. But now that I see it's been done before I'll DEFINITELY be preparing my Sequence the same way...

Hey Jason!

Thanks for the build thread!

Say, I'm putting together a Sequence of my own. I'm with you - the 4-40 hardware is overkill (and old-school!). Will you tell me about those carbon...

Shopping for a Viper myself and just noticed the ten-dollar price difference. I don't know for certain, but I speculate they're just trying to move (shift demand) some red ones.

RE: Good replacement for Ammo 24-33-3180kv???

Sorry for a late reply.

Don't get to this forum often and just saw your question. Hope it's not too late to help.

The 24-45-3790 is great for the Rifle, with one exception. It'll put you at...

RE: Good replacement for Ammo 24-33-3180kv???

Try the AMMO 28-35-3900. The 28mm motor will drop right in there. You'll want to switch to a 4.1 x 4.1 prop though. I have a Rifle with this motor and have about 75 flights on it. Your 1800mAh...

RE: Venus II

I don't like the down mix to throttle for landing either. So link your down elevator mix to a switch. Then, you can turn off the mix when it's time to land - works great!

RE: Venus II

Hey guys,

was thinking of selling my Venus II I converted to electric. I've previously posted the setup in this forum. It's about three years old, but I probably fly it only ten times or so a...

I'm running the Neu 1110/1Y (4550kV), Hyperion 3S 2200mAh 45C, Castle Ice Lite 100, APC 4.1 x 4.1 prop.

I record all my flight times and how much capacity went back into the battery after a...

Why, I was flying my Venus II ARF just this morning (about three years old, converted to electric).

RE: Great Planes Rifle

Understood.

Yes, the quality isn't the same as a Sunracer III, Voodoo, etc. But you can still go 120mph easily with much less at steak (dollar investment). Even on 2S you can still go around...

Yes, I have a "dog in the hunt," but I don't try to conceal that.

RE: Great Planes Rifle

The Rifle should not break under any circumstances (however hard or quickly you pull) as long as it is flown within the limits specified in the instruction manual (no more than 300 Watts, 19.2 oz,...

RE: Great Planes Rifle

That should be a GREAT motor for a 2S setup. I have a 2S setup with a 24-33-4040kV inrunner Ammo with a 5.0 x 5.0 prop and a 2S 1800mAh 25C battey. It's fabulous. Still fast enough for sure, but...

RE: Great Planes Rifle

Hi David.

You beat me to the punch on this one. I ran the same motor (24-45-3790) the other day, but I used a 4.1 x 4.1 prop which puts it right at the top of its suggested current draw. I think...
