RE: I left my lipos sitting for a while, will they still work?

If your whole slipper assembly is jiggling around and moving the driveshaft, it sounds like your center diff/slipper bearing is shot. Refer to your manual's exploded diagram on what Traxxas PN it is...

RE: Upgrading my Slash 4x4 VXL

Only thing I'd change on your truck is the motor mount for the Kingheadz version, as our truck tends to blow up the center diff/slipper bearing otherwise. I also had a very bad experience with the...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Looks like the engine won't be going back after all. Took it off, cleaned, disassembled a little. Looks like the carb may have had a leak on the O-ring, because it now primes like a champ after being...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Hm, engine refuses to pull fuel from the fuel lines at 220 or so degrees. Piston looks in good shape, as does the liner. Sick of this engine, emailed Hobby Services as to warranty returns on the...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

I noticed the same problem. EXTREMELY irritating. I'm thinking bad carb. My engine does the same thing, but seems like it won't want to draw fuel when it gets warm? Not sure what that's all about.

RE: Good day into bad day.

Woo. Just got my new pullstarter for the Evader the other day. Old one finally wore out and gave up. Anywho, here's a little summary of what happened.

RE: evader st, xxx-nt and rc10gt (out of the box, rtr) speeds

Nitro Evader ST will do 42mph out of the box. Clocked it on the local PD's stationary radar stand. It's this thing they put in the neighborhoods to take pictures of your car if you're doing over the...

Drive Axle Question

Anyone know, off hand, of a 72mm dogbone? I'm fiddling with an old Sandmaster ST2, and it's actually in really good running shape except for the driveshafts, which at 68mm are too short. Any ideas?

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Odd, I've got over a gallon in my Evader and I've never had a runaway or a mashed bell or spur, and I drive till I break something (and often zip-tie and continue). Weeeird. Though, I am going to try...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Quick thing. I finished installing it all earlier. What, you may ask? The brand spankin' new aluminum idler gear for the NEVST's Gearbox. Quite nice! Using Masher 2k's in the back of the truck and...

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

So far, the only things I've broken are the CV Shafts, rear hub carriers, front hub carriers, rear shock tower, rear suspension plate, front body mount, crap plastic diff gear, crap plastic idler...

Selfmade Drillstart Help

Quick question. I'm trying to make a drillstart conversion for my old Sandmaster's GT12SCR engine. It's got a 6mm crankshaft, and I've still got the oneway bearing. Long story short, the one-way...

RE: What's Broke?

I've got an evader, so I'll lend a hand.

You're going to want the $15 Aluminum diff gear that Duratrax makes. It's stronger then hell, and you can practically lock the diff and it'll work fine...

RE: Toast or Not?

Give it a hosing-down with PCB Cleaner (Get @ RadioShack or local Elec. Shop), the Reciever board and the board/motor of both servo's. Brought a servo back to life with that stuff.

RE: Failsafes

Had something similar happen to me too, instead it was a bright neon ORANGE AND GREEN Honda Civic and the car in question was my Nitro Evader. Car keyed, revenge had. ;)

RE: NEW EVADER SERVO

The wires will fit just fine, I used one for a while (ended up breaking, sent it back to Tower, who sent me a Hobbico one for replacement o.O). Works nice. Considering a AA battery is 1.5v, 4x that...

RE: rc10gt vs losi vs rustler vs evader

The evader's nice when it's got an aluminum rear shock tower and rear suspension plate (Not out yet, had mine made from my CNC Class'ing friend). Those two peices seem to break the most in the cold....

Sandmaster rear shock question.

Something I've noticed about my Sandmaster is that the rear shocks don't seem to push the a-arms down enough, and the back-end seems to squat a little. Anyone know how to fix something like this?
