I have never done anything special about this nor had a problem with a servo failing because of exhaust goo on them. I just mount them in the tail (output shaft on the left side of the plane) and fly...

For 3D most guys like APC 13X6, 14X6, 13X4W, Some like the Zinger 14X4 or a MAS 13X6. I have heard a lot of talk about using a Bolly 12.5X6 as well. Best bet is to pick up a few of each and try them...

Bob, The bottom spar of the fuse was 1/2 x 3/8 basswood, the framing was 3/8sq balsa all sheeted in 1/16.
