I have many hand made rc gas airplanes that my husband made over the years. He passed recently and would like to see them go to a good home. I really don't know much of anything about them except he called them RC gas WWII airplanes. He loved modeling. Wish I could tell you more. I am located in AZ so it would be for p/u. I will supply a pic to show an example. I am not looking for compensation just a good home. This was his love.

The Planes in these pictures are absolutely beautiful works of art. I am sorry for the loss of your husband. I have been in RC for over 10 years and have concentrated my efforts on Scale RC gas planes. I would love to have one or both of these planes to add to my collection and possibly compete with them in one of the many scale events that I go to each year. I have a few planes that I have inherited from guys that have passed and take a lot of pride in restoring planes built by former members of the hobby. I have some relatives in Gilbert and may be able to arrange pick-up if I sound like a guy that you may want to pass these works of art on to. You hit the nail on the head. The whole idea is to carry on her husbands legacy and make sure his spirit stays alive in this hobby. As I have stated, I have inherited a few planes from flyers who are now gone. Some of these plans I have pledged to fly at certain events and I am faithful in doing so. When I fly one of these planes, everyone remembers where it came from and the stories of that person are told all during the event and is fondly remembered. On the other hand I have seen planes sold off, not taken care of, resold and destroyed because to a lot of people, it is just another airplane. The money is not what this is about.

I am sorry for the loss of your husband. He was certainly a great scale RC modeler. Me and my sons are scale RC warbird enthusiasts and we are very interested in the blue P-47D warbird. We could pick it up this weekend if still available. Regards. Miro

I am sorry for your loss-Your husband's planes have value-Not knowing any of the details those airplanes they could be worth over $2500 each. I would hope anyone that you so freely award them to= would possibly think about compensating you or possibly making a donation in your late husband's name to a charity of your choice-They are nice planes with countless hours of that labor of love we have for this hobby-I am not trying to tell you what or how to do on anything but it be honorable to make some sort of donation in the memory of your husband.

What you want to do is admirable, but I think that if anyone takes these from you without paying you at least $1500.00 for each plane (they are worth more) is taking advantage of your generosity and I think it would be a disservice to your late husband. No one should take them from you for free. If your husband had close friends in the hobby, ask one of them for assistance in selling these beautiful planes. Our club has done this for numerous widows of club members over the years.

What greater way to celebrate the life of a talented modeler than to fly his pieces of art and tell the story of how he got them. And paying for them just turns that into just another typical sales transaction. I disagree with the last two posters. Someone who receives a gift is much more likely to tell the story behind it than someone who pays for an item. And I think that is what is behind the OP's generous offer. Please don't cheapen it by turning it into just another sale.

I disagree with you. If they are given away for free, someone will more than likely try to make some money in selling them. The story behind them is fantastic however, people have changed, and it boils down to the all might buck unfortunately. I say sell then, and donate the funds to your favorite charity, at least that way you know for sure no one is buying them just to line their pockets.
