I will run the serial no. thru SIMJET Denmark for clarification on model type.

Will advise.

The IRDT is $250.00 w/ Infra-Red transmitter board. W/O IRtx - $175.00.

Hi Gerry

The engine is an S-120, the kit version of the 2300. The silver unit was the last version of the IRDT handheld unit. Handheld will allow you to adjust the max thrust setting(3 points) and the glow power(three levels). It also displays the the current RPM, temperature, battery and pump voltage on the main screen. The second screen shows the ecu version information and total run time on the engine.

Sincerely,
Ed

ed, i have one of your invoices for this eng. dated 6/28/05 to adam borz. was this the original sale or the ck-up after build and the turnup of ecu.. ? i have not run yet.eng spins by hand about 3 seconds but i do notice a ever so slight binding spot. could be from sitting so long and sticky residue on bearings, might go away when i run it. ecu says 27 mins. and is version 3.4.1 is this fairly current? and what is expected thrust?[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

Hi Gerry

The date you gave doesn't line up with the computer invoice I have. What is the invoice number?

The binding may be from residue, but you may want to check the inner ring of the blue cover and see if it is contacting in one spot. This was a common issue and is resolved by appyling a little pressure to the blue cover at the contact point to move it outward slightly. The tolerancing is so tight on the inlet that this sometimes happens.

3.4.1 was one of the last software revisions. There may have been one more, but the changes would have been so minor that you couldn't tell the difference. I'd have to dig into my records to see what the engine measured on the test stand, but it should be in the 23-25 lb range. It really depended on whether the person assembling the engine did the extra work required to gain the extra power.

Have fun with it, you won't be disappointed.

Ed

Hi Gerry

That's the customs invoice from when I sent the engine back to him. There was a problem with the glow plug hole alignment and I had to replace the case. Other than that no issues.
