I was wondering what to use to clean the case. I used computer case cleaner on the black portion and that works fine but I cannot get sweat stains off the front of the case, it appears to have stained (it was hot that day, 114'
) What do you recommend for cleaning the case? TIA

Thanks for the info but I have tried alcohol with no luck. It did work on my old Super 7. I even carried the swabs in my fight box. This is some kind of stain, not fuel or dirt, and it has discolored the plastic. I hoping for Futaba to have an answer as I can't be the only person with this problem and I don't want to destroy the front of the case.
BTW It's the best radio I've ever owned.

Hi Bearair,
We would recommend a soft cloth and a mild window cleaner, such as Windex. This should take care of it for you.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
Sincerely,

Yeah I have the same "spots" appearing on the silver coating of my 9C. It seems to occur near the corner areas. It's definitely not removable by alcohol. Looks like mild corrosion. I think it will get worse with time, and I expect that there will come a time when I will have to touch up with a little silver paint.
