Please help.
During a weak moment I consented to buy a nearly new FF9 from a guy at our club who was quitting. I got what I thought was a bargain - until I tried the instruction manual. Now, I am not a complete dullard and I am quite willing to learn - but I find that the instrucution manual assumes that you already know a good bit about how to set up radios etc. I am new to this fantastic hobby and went from a Futaba Skysport 4 to this. Is there anywhere on the netoffering instruction for dummies or is there a book published anywhere.
Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian,
Unfortunately, no, we are not aware of any such book, but we would suggest that you contact your local field to see if there is someone there who might be able to help you out.
Plus you are always welcome to contact our Futaba support team with any questions that you may have as you are becoming familiar with this fine radio. Please check our website at www.futaba-rc.com and click on the Technical Support link in the upper right hand corner.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
Sincerely,
Krysta

I had a tip from the author of the US version of the FF9 manual - The downloadable PDF file of the US manual goes a long way to help me - for this I am grateful.
I think my problem lies with my inexperience in flying - I thought a snap roll was some kind of new breakfast cereal - so how to programme a radio to allow an aeroplane to perform one was quite beyond me. I am learning slowly though
If those nice people at Futaba were to publish a straight-forward, easy to understand book about owning and flying a model aeroplane (including recommendations for engines (OS??)) and lots of unashamed product promotion within it's pages, we newbies could learn a lot more and, who knows, buy a lot more of the Futaba Corporations fine products........just a thought for the Futaba Marketing Dept.
Thanks once again
Ian
