Default Info on Battery Eliminator Circuitry RX.

I have a Hobbico Super Narrow band 2 channel AM Receiver for surface use. This receiver indicates that it has Battery Eliminator Circuitry. I would like to know if this receiver can work directly off of a 9.6 volt battery source.

Thanks

No. The receiver can operate off of a 6- or 7-cell NiCd pack, such as usually used in R/C cars. The 8-cell pack will also drive too much voltage to any servos plugged into the receiver.
