Default Need Hobby Shop in San Francisco

Hey Guys. I am going to san Francisco in a few weeks and want to pick up a Aeroworks Extra 300 profile Arf. As l am driving from Canada. This will save me a fourtune in shipping. Does anyone know of a hobby shop in that area that might have this plane or order one in for me.

Thanks.

Get in touch with Bev or Charlie at Modaire Hobbies in Manteca, CA. They're about 70 miles or so from S.F. They will order in pretty near anything you want. They have a website at www. Modaire.com and their e-mail is [email protected]. Local phone is 209-824-9330. There is another hobby shop in San Jose, Sheldons Hobbies. You might want to check out some previous posts regarding their service.

You'll be driving past Tims hobbies in Everett, Washington.
Call them, he'll get it for you, too.

Hello

There is one I know of thats pretty decent, but I cant remember the name, sorry. I can tell you how to get there though. From anywhere downtown along market, grab a muni N train (not bus) in the tunnel and head out past west portal. You may have to get off at 19th and Ocean, the shop is on Ocean somewhere between 15th and 19th or thereabouts. Ocean is a nice little neighborhood in that area, theres a bunch of shops along that strip and one is a hobby shop with a very good (for here) plane section.

If you have a car available, about 35 miles south, 45 minutes on 101, in Mt View there is San Antonio hobby shop. Their url is http://www.sahobby.com/. Easy to get to, right off the freeway about a mile or two, and lotsa stuff.

I would stronlgy suggest reading the past posts on here about the Customer Service at Sheldons before buying anything form there. Especially if as in your case you will buying it then leaving town.

I think the store in San Francisco that was mentioned above is Franciscan Hobbies.

http://www.franciscanhobbies.com/

I have never been there, but you could call them or check out the website for more info.
