Hi Yub, yub, cmdr!,
The 6EXA is PPM, it is not available in PCM.
Range of a transmitter is one of the hardest questions to answer, as they will vary so much from make to make and even from one 6EXA to another 6EXA. Variables play a large factor in the range of a radio also, from your geographical location to whether you are in an urban or a rural area. The closest that we can come is that this will fly your plane "as far as the eye can see". When you get your radio, we would recommend that you do a few range checks yourself with it, take the average range and this is the "range" for your transmitter.
If you are using the transmitter and receiver packs that came with the system, and they are not upgraded as far as milliamps, you should be able to fly safely for 25 to 30 minutes, but again, this is going to depend on how many and what type of servos you are using, what type of ailerons, rudder, etc, your plane has, and the winds will even play a big effect on battery life.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
Sincerely,

Unfortunately, no, we carry only complete systems, thus the price will be over what you are looking for. The only transmitter that we carry that is sold alone is the 9Z WC2, and of course it is well over your $190 mark.
You may want to check on the auction site here to see if someone would have a PCM transmitter only that they are selling or you can check a local swap meet to see if you can find one there.
The lowest price PCM system that we sell is the 6XS, but again it is sold as a package with receiver, servos, and batteries, which makes is above the price that you are looking at.
