Urgent info for UK guys, and probably Europe too.

Early this year I ripped out the main gear on my new F86 on it's first landing due to a no glue situation (it was not a heavy landing)

If I had one of these devices it would never have happened.

Rush off to Lidl's today and pick one of these up for £69.99, it's an internal inspection camera unit, in other words an endoscope, the probe is 9mm dia with four tiny leds and several brightness levels, it's brilliant!

It even has a picture reverse image button, lcd screen is colour and good quality.

Especially designed for FEJ customers lol.

Good idea; ordered a similar camera (but for USB on Laptop) and waiting now for some weeks as my parcel got lost and didn't arrive at my home.

These cameras allow inspection of parts you never may look at.

Just remember to check that it's a HD camera and there are LED's inside; normally it should take videos and snapshot photos.<br type="_moz" />

Not so urgent now, just been doing a bit of Googling and its also available at Amazon so the US guys can get them.

No video or photo facility but for our use perfectly ok, even comes with attachments, a tiny mirror, hook and even a magnet.

Picture is not HD, 480 x 234 but I've just had it inside a wing and it's more than adequate for our uses.

For the money it's a great bit of kit.

Definitely a very useful, and in many case IMPORTANT and NECESSARY tool .. especially when working on ARF aircraft .. and that does not only go for the Chinese ones either! In fact many "kit" models have been found to have issues as well, as these also often come with composite / closed wing structures , etc .. ..

At All-Scale we boroscope every plane we build or assemble. Its become quite necessary .. Its pretty surprising what kinds of problems one can find that otherwise you might only find out about when the plane potentially blows apart in the air

If you are able to actually find the problem, finding a fix is usually easy

It should come with a 3x, 4x, 5x tip expand feature for use on yourself after contacting FEJ Customer service.

Called a "boroscope". Been around since the beginning of time. Used to inspect jet engine blades. A good one can take measurements.

I got one of these for Christmas last year and finally used it - for my SM Goshawk to run the tip wing tip light cables and servo lead in the wing. The camera with the little hook was great. I also could see the glue joint and the balsa blocks, most looked ok. Mine came with a wireless screen attachment, that was good , I could leave the screen in one place and work with the other. Anyway, I agree, it is a great tool, I bet I will use it more often now.

Going to inspect some drains tomorrow which seem to have roots in them !

In the US they sell these at the Home Depot.. Milwaukee Power tools makes a real nice one. And it's only $99 and is really nicely built
