Hello to all.
Recently purchased Mig 29.Does any one have a wrecked jet with good hydraulic valves.Old owner switched to air.
I want to use hydraulics as was intened for this jet.Contacted my,Composite arf rep.Said he would talk to Andreis
about parts I need.Been about a month.Have not heard back from no one.I also am looking for PST 1300R.I have one now.
But need another one to power this beast. Please feel free to pm. me.
I thank all in advance for your help.

Lots of luck getting a response from Comp ARF about anything regarding the Mig. I built one over a 2 year period (should have been MUCH shorter) and trying to get parts that were missing, or even just answers was near impossible. It was absolutely horrific service. It's like they want NOTHING to do with the Mig, unless they're taking your 10K for the kit. I know everyone says that they get great service from Comp ARF, and what a great company they are, and I've had other comp arf products where sales and after sales service was good, but the way they dealt with their most expensive kit and what was at one time supposedly the flagship of their line was repulsive. I will personally never spend another penny with Composite ARF. I wish I had a better answer for you, but truthfully, if it's been changed to air and it's working, I'd just leave it alone. Are your gear the new generation at least with the locking mechanisms in the gear cylinders? I can't imagine having to deal with the original system at all.
As for the valves, I believe they has the Hausel label on them, same as the pump, perhaps try dealing directly?

Walter , I don't post much on RCU these days, but, since I have built and flown and still have a Mig 29 , here goes:
I binned the original hydraulics, (pump , accumulator and electronic controller) they don't work reliably enough to be called airworthy, although Andreas blamed my lack of knowledge of hydraulic systems for my problems.
Mine flew with the South African ( they couldn't get the original system to work either ) Omega system but the pump output is such that actuation speeds of the gear is rather slower than I would like.
I now have a new Hausl pump and valves and this winter, I will get my Mig airworthy again, (using two PST 1300s, exceptionally reliable engines, with Weatronic radio which makes setup much easier) BUT using air for power except on the MLG. The hydraulic downlock on my Mig is achieved by closing Festo valves in the hyd line, actuated by the ECU. you don't absolutely NEED the latest, self locking, cylinders using this principle.
I have replaced the twin JR 8411 servos on each stab with a single JR 6301 servo which gives more than the torque of twin 8411s with half the chance of failure.
I concur with Graphix about CARF service on the Mig, I spent a huge amount of time, money and effort working out the bugs and getting mine airborne, but zero help from AG, never, ever again.
A shame really, it is a MOST impressive model and is a *****cat to fly and mine WILL fly again.
