Default New CARF MiG-15

Started looking into my newly aquired Carf MIG kit today, and I am not too overly impressed. New for the 2012 version among other things is the intake-ducts already mounted by the manufacturer. Well, I kinda wish they hadn`t. As You will see by the pic it`s poor craftmanship to say the least. The intake splitter on the Mig being such a prominent and visual part of the airframe lends me a whole lot of work to get it right. This is not exactly a cheap kit either, so I would expect better. Secondly, CARF advertise this plane as "Museum Scale". This maybe put my expectations a little too high, but part from being pretty detailed - it`s not. Some dimension are off, some details are missing, others are downright wrong. It is of course possible to make this up to scale, but that will take a LOT of work. Well, guess I have to go looking for something more to whine about. Eventually we will see how this project turns out
