Hello RC Pete , do the winds usually come staright down the runway at Wingham or do you often have a crosswind .

We had about a 20 -30 deg crosswind most of the day , very light winds
Wind direction changes most of the time, still one of the best places to fly

Wind is always down the runway and it is always sunny in Wingham. (at least when we fly there).

All joking aside, the runway is N/W to S/E orientation so the prevailing west wind usually puts it down the runway or about a 45 degree.

Yes Kind of...You need to have one of the designated air marshals with you when you fly. A Nav com radio is mandatory and advance notice to the airport staff is required. Other than that, it is wide open flying.
