Default Afterburner rings/light set

Gday Fellas, after some advice on getting some afterburner lights and nav/landing lights for my F15.

What is the best/reliable around, and where would one obtain these little gems?

Ive seen the ones that Dreamworks offer, and some from HK ...yuk, but not much in between.

Cheers

Matt

As far as I'm concerned the best is Detail 4 Scale.

Give Peter from Intairco a call and he can get them for you from Detail 4 Scale. I can assure you you will be very happy with quality of these lights.

The best system is from airfighter.eu in Germany. Take a look at the Big Afterburner its a three ring set up, or they will make you one for your size tube, with as many rings as you can fit.

I've been very happy with the Dreamworks units. Actually had a gentleman comment on how good hey look even in full summer sun.

+1. I've been very happy with mine, and Dan has stood behind the product.

Xicoy do a good range of afterburner lights along with a controller and seem to be priced right too.

I got a chance to see the Electro Dynamics system a few years back at a meet... it was installed in a yellow F-15

It was nice and bright even in summer sunny conditions..... I need a system for my F-18. I was thinking this system

But want to look into the dreamworks system a bit more, I want them as bright as I can get

Ron, I suspect your exit size will be quite large, how much difference do you have between you Mylar duct and the nozzle?

Hey Sean,
I don't plan on running afterburner rings

just wanted nav and landing lights.... so I really just need a simple light setup....

the Dream Works system might be all I need, and if I want to add afterburner I can... I think my thrust tube will be 90 to 100mm leaving about 5mm around the tube... so the 110mm ring would be perfect
