Default Stock CARF Ultra Lightning Pipe

Looking at the New Tam Pipes for the CARF Ultra Lightning and it is much better made but is it 6 oz. lighter is it really able to take the Heat and for how Long. Anyone had this pipe melt.

Tam pipes are super, and will hold up better than most .. If you have hot starts at over 800 - 900c, then any pipe will deform and need replacing .. The CARF pipes are super tough as they are but as you noted, they are heavier .. is 6oz a big deal on the Lightning ? You want the best, go for the Tam

The only thing i don't' like about TAMS pipe is that you can't use the bypass that comes with the ultra lighting so all that has to be redone, the Tams pipe has a built in Bell mouth.

In the end I just went with the stock pipe as it was simpler. I'm sure someone has made an updated kit (OR tam may even sell this now) that has an updated bypass that works with the Tam Pipe.

Tam can make pipes to any desired fits/dimensions ... with , or without Bypass .. Best to email/call him ..

Tam's pipe fit in the Ultra Lightning very well no problem at all. Just hope it is as strong as the old heavy pipe.
