I've got a 6XAS and a plane I'd like to teach someone to fly, when I hook up a buddy box (old 4 channel) it only transmits high rates, when I connect the cord to my 6XA it does the same thing, however the 6XA power light comes on. Is this normal? Is there a different cord that will allow the use of dual rates/expo?
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
What you are describing is normal.
To get the Dual Rates and Expo to follow from radio to radio with a trainer cord, you will need at least a radio that has the function settings in the trainer function, such as the 9C or 9Z radio.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
