I sold a Futaba radio to a guy in Iberia La 10/1/03 . He needed the radio ASAP as he had a contest this weekend. He called and said the money was going into my PAYPAL account as we speak. PLEASE overnight the radio ..I waited to see if the money arrived in my account.. As of 9;45 am thurs, it's not there. The moral is DO NOT SHIP UNTIL YOU SEE THE COLOR OF MONEY.. Jim

I could be wrong here, but as I understand it, the frequently overlapping "karma system" and "GBU forum" were combined into a system under the new marketplace which is intended to ensure that the people leaving comments about good or bad transactions did in fact execute such a transaction. This should help avoid situations whereby people artificially bump up someone's "positive" rating, or leave poor feedback for someone they dislike but never actually had a deal with.

So - if the deal for the above radio was done here on RCU, then the feedback mechanism in the marketplace should be used ; if the deal was done elsewhere, then ther isn't anything RCU can do about that

BTW, I'm not 100% sure, but this whole thread might get removed since the feedback really belongs inside the marketplace system (as I understand it anyway - could be wrong).

Here's my complaint. The old GBU forum was an invaluable resource in that it contained not only the monkers used by il cattivo - it also gave a lot of other useful info. City & state, mailing addresses, phone numbers (!) were frequently posted. People also tended to post the types of disputed items as well as the modus operandi of the person in question...

All that info is still available on the old board - if you know the address.

That forum should have been carried over to the new board IMHO.

The reasoning to put it here is it will get a lot more coverage. In the marketplace only a few will have a reason to open complaints regarding this individual.. Paypal and RCU have been informed of this situation...Jim
