This should prove useful for everyone. List your hobby shops. Give web address, phone or whatever. There are, I am finding, some very small companies out there with great products that are fairly new. List it! I look all over RCU and finds planes that I have never seen before and can't find anywhere. So, let the advertising begin!

Favorite hobby shop is the internet. The other type is 90 miles away. I look at practically all the web sites and sign up to have them remind me of sales and specials. There is usually a place on some of the web sites that allow you to shop by manufacturer. Tower's lists all types. Sig also has the same type of site. Anything you can think of can be found on most of the search parts of the webs.
Our local sales tax is 8.6%. Since I usually buy enough at one time to get free shipping from Tower, Omni and others I beat the local tax easily. If I do buy something that doesn't qualify for free shipping the cost is usually still below the local unreasonable sales tax. You can also check the links and find places not otherwise well known. Most of the manufacturers list a web site in their magazine ads. It works for me and anything that saves the gas and aggravation of a 90+ mile drive is pennies from heaven.

Family owned and operated for 26 years. Sells all R/C planes, radios & motors for 10% less than Tower.
More cool toys in this store than you ever though existed. Not only R/C, but all scales of trains, metal cars, metal airplanes, slot cars, R/C cars, plastics, rockets, kites and all types of other stuff. Lots and lots of really cool stuff.

Central Florida Hobbies in Orlando, Fla. You just cant find better service, MR.& MRS. Harkey have been flying for 40 years, and they wont steer you in the wrong path, even if it means loosing a sale. Simply the best people I have ever had the pleasure of doing buisness with.

Where is this store in Orlando?
I have been to the one in Sanford, down from the mall. I have also been to Graves. Where is the one you are mentioning?

From: Dearborn, MI,
I'm going to be negative here, but the three local hobby shops are manned by young "men" that look at customers an interruption, except maybe Riders in Livonia. They seem to be helpful aside from their ignorance. I always seem to miss the "plane guy" by a half hour.
This has caused me to ask somewhat simplistic questions here on this website, which by the way has given me next to nothing and way more than I could hope for information-wise. Thank you to all that have endured my most likely redundant questions. Thank you for answering my questions. I'm sure that there will be more to come.
