Default Problem FF6 xs

I have a problem with my FF6 xs 35Mhz suddenly with antenna fully closed and moving just a couple of meters away from receiver there is servo movement if I just slowly shake the radio, I have tried two different channels 76 and 88 and 3 different recievers 76 small gws and 2 x 138DF same response but more movement on one of the 138 DF where shall I start looking ???

The transmitter antenna may not be getting a good signal to send out. Check the wiring inside the transmitter as well as the antenna's security. If the antenna's loose, it won't be able to put out a good signal.

Bill

thnx for the info, have test that, in the meantime I discovered that there is only interferance when the rx arial is extended over the elevator, when I do this all servos start moving, I have tried 2 different rx and crstals, could it be some metal to metal, altough I cannot see any ?

Bill,

have now tried with 2 different tx, however I still have servo movements when the antenna is closed and I move a few feet away, slight movement but still there, now it's happening on another model with a different rx. is this normal ? I am using 138s rx PPM would PCM eliminate this ?

regards

If the receiver antenna is too close to the servos or even the servo leads, you can get interaction so that the airborne system starts to function erratically. You need to make sure the receiver antenna is as far away from the servos and servo leads as you can make it.

Metal-to-metal contact tends to affect AM systems more than anything else, although some FM-PPM systems could be affected if they don't have good filtering...mostly these would be the low-end, inexpensive systems. Higher-level/quality systems should not be much affected.

PCM won't solve your problem. If there's enough noise gettng into the receiver, then the receiver will go into lockout, then failsafe. You'd still have no control.

Hi Bill,

Extreme lite flew yesterday no problem the only solution was to re-route rx antenna from top of fuselage back to Rudder. previous positioning had worked for 6 months without any hitches.

thanks for your help
