Hello guys I am building a 27% 85" wingspan Columbo Anderson Extra and have recently ordered a DA-50 engine and I will be flying IMAC as well as 3d flying. My question is what would be the difference between 2 and 3 blade props I like the looks of the 3 blade but would this effect anything. Please tell me some goods and bads between the props. Thanks.. PS. I will probally be using Metljlik props, and I appreciatte the feedback guys.

Gernerally, the 3 blade props are more quiet and look more scale, while the two blade props will yield the top performance. With most planes being so overpowered now, getting that absolute top performance is not so critical, so many people opt for the quieter 3 blade setup.

Three blades are less efficient than two. Following blade is in the turbulence of the preceding blade by 1/3 more time. There was a guy in about '46/7 that made a single blade prop for a 65hp Continental, counterbalanced at the hub with weights.
It was a much more efficient prop but it wore out main bearings at an alarming rate due to the asymetrical thrust. I like three baldes much better than two if I have enough power to compensate for a little less efficiency.
