From: Champaign,
IL,
Just purchased a new Futaba 9Z WC2 Transmitter and spent a few hours outdoors with it today learning its features and setting up a heli. While showing my son the features of the TX, I noticed a small bug that appeared to be walking across the screen. I thought the bug was on top of the screen so I immediately tried to blow it off, but after blowing several times, the bug remained on the screen. So I tried to remove it with my finger. When I pressed down on the bug, I noticed that it was not on top of the screen, but had crawled between the clear plastic screen cover and the screen. Since I pressed down on the screen cover the bug got squashed between the plastic screen cover and the screen. Now my brand new TX has this unsightly squashed bug under the screen cover. What must be done to remove the bug? The gap that can appear around the edges of the screen cover and the TX when the screen cover is lightly pressed should be sealed to prevent bugs, small particles of trash and moisture from entering.

We're sorry to hear that a creature got into your transmitter and is now a blot on the screen. The only way to remove it and clean it is to do a disassembly of the transmitter. If you send it to us, we'll be glad to remove the bug and clean the screen.
