Hello Futaba, I have been flying Futaba radios since 1972, as of right now I own a 9VAP, a 9CAP, and a conquest 6, and a magnum JR. My deep concerns are the implemantation of this broadband and what to do with these radios and 12 airplanes(giant scale and ducted fans). Will you be able to retrofit these existing radios with different modules? or what does Futaba have in the works to keep this hobby alive? or is there no real concern

Futaba is always working on things. They just don't talk about what they're doing until they're ready to release them.
Take a look at the new systems brought out recently, 6EXA, 4YF, the 9C only just two years ago, the 3PK innovataive R/C car system last year, the new battery chargers and checkers, metal servo arms, servo drill guids, the new PAR-2 receiver being used in the Hobbico NexStar, and much, much more.
Futaba doesn't sit still, things are always going on. We'll know the next thing when they're ready to let us all know.

Give them a nudge for us on the synth module for the 9C ... and maybe a synth receiver.
I've been a Futaba operator since the golden days, but I want a synth system without going to the ZAP.
Hitec/Multiplex is going to win the race if Futaba doesn't Kick It Up A Notch !

There is no one that could ever convince me that Hitec will ever surpass Futaba, Hitec is too busy getting bugs out of their systems and trying to compete with Futaba. A synth would be nice!

The synthesized module for the 9C (and 5u, 7U, and 8U series) is due out after the new year. FUTL8910, price and availability to be announced. It won't get onto the web page or in anyone's ordering system until price and delivery are set. Sorry, I don't have any more information than that.

Bill Baxter !
Thanks for replying ...
Good enough for now.
I'll be waiting.

We can't discount Multiplex ... they may be a big player. Time will tell !
The technology coming from Germany has been impressive in my business (testing).
Winning the race related to the synth transmitter module and receiver ... not overall quality.
I've been with Futaba since the G Series ... always liked their equipment ... never had problems ... so you don't need to convince me. I just like bells and whistles ( the reason I picked Futaba in the 80's). Even though we have a lot more frequencies, I seem to have the one others want to use. Sometimes the "others" aren't big on sharing. Would be nice to just change frequencies and alleviate the situation !

I would never discount Multiplex, they have always amazed me with some of their products. Hitec? I don't know, they have come a long way and their servos are getting pretty good, just have to wait and see.
