i do trial and error method
fill it almost all the way full put it back together compresses the shock if it doesn't go all the way down then you have to much fluid, take a Little bit out put it together and try it again
i know its not the easiest way but it works

I would fill my shocks full with oil until there is a VERY slight "bulge" of fluid over the top. Then I'll screw the shock cap until it is just snug and bleed the shock. Shock fluid will seep out; keep bleeding it for around 30 seconds. Wipe up the excess fluid and then screw the shock cap down more securely. Repeat this process of bleeding and then you should be good to go.

This is just how I do it though; I don't know if it's the right way or not. It works for me well, though.

Well, I just finnished doing one of them and it seems to be pretty good. All I did is fill it up just alittle above where the threads on the INSIDE are. (dont need oil where the shock seal holder is going to thread into) Then slowly threaded the seal into place, this forced out any extra oil, and Air as well. Seems to be working pretty good..So, Fill er up seems to be the answer.

Right, so I forgot to say I also made sure the shocks compressed all the way...

Man what a difference I tell ya.. the difference from the old/stock/dirty (wichever it was) oil to the new oil is unreal. They feel like true shocks now, not RC shocks.. Night and day difference
