OK...wut i am about to say is very crazy and unrealistic, but if it can be done......SWEET!

OK, my idea is a 100% amature r/c "video/DVD" pretty much my vision is just a whole hours worth of one video after another, formatted onto a VHS tape or DVD. the reason i want to do this or to see this happen is because i have spent countless hours downloading vids from the internet just to see that half of the crap is...well CRAP. wouldnt it be kool is there was a DVD or VHS tape that captured as much of r/c cars as it could? heres wut im imagining for a format:

*Section for car reviews and footage ( guy with car talkin about his car and pros and cons..people can scroll thru and select the car they want..split up into classes like ST's, buggie, and MT's..or split into manufacterers: traxxas cars, duratax cars)

* Section for races..maybe "real races" and "ghetto neighborhood races" or drag races

* Section for just pure jumps, speed, bashing, and all the good stuff (main portion of video)

* and finnaly a section for just 100% Crazyness and i mean the Craziest of crazy. like as in...jumping a house is just the standard. im talkin about like jumping over burning cars, or a freakin pan car takin a dive over a bunch of people or some crazy sh** like that.

just to be clear...there could be like a "host" who maybe does surprise vistits to LHS all over the country and checks out different cars and bashings and does interviews and stuff

Ok, so what do u think? im pretty sure this will never happen beacuse i dont have the money, skills, and resources to do something of this magnitude at age 14...but im sure someone out of the tens of thousands of people on this website can. Maybe get sponsors like Traxxas, Duratrax...who know? after i see what responses i get..i actually might get serious about this. if i could collect donated footage from people...and i mean tape ur stuff and send it to me, i might be able to do something with it. who knows? this is all hypothetical..but lets see what happens

I do suppose it could be an ever-progressing sort of deal... Like a forum, so to speak. I do believe it could be done but not locally. You'd have to do it over the Internet because there just aren't enough people that live in one area to make something so... in depth and massive, if those words would apply.

I don't know though... It could be like a "send your video of something to me and I'll put it in this mega-video" kind of thing, but I'm just thinking out loud. It could definitely be done, but it would definitely need to be progressive, as I said above.

I could prolly do it if everyone sent me there vid. And everyone sent me there vid iin one format .wmv bc then i wouldnt have too!

Yeah, you would have to have regulations on it like file-size, formats, and compression quality because if you are going to make it look professional, it needs to be all the same. You wouldn't want a real high-quality video playing and then five minutes later have some weak excuse for a video playing; it wouldn't look good. I think this could be a mini-project.

Evaderstbasher, it was his idea! He'd definitely be the one in charge... Haha, or you could work out some kind of joint deal. Heh, joint deal... Sounds funny.

Lol i know but he said he cant handle it right now i have the video editing software and stuff...Not that great but getting use to it...I could try at least!

great....lots of comments..i feel an empire emerging. "The Real R/c" lol...wouldnt it be funny if someone stole this idea and madea million bucks?...lol, anyways, im not into that over the internet download stuff...but i guess if the editing and good enough footage can be done...someone could put it all into a gigantic like 500mb movie thing. the only reason i dont like that...dont get me wrong i know downloading a thing is easier then watching and scrolling thru a DVD, but its just having that DVD that makes it all worthwhile. u know what i mean? like if u have friends that kinda wanna get into r/c u could popin this hypotheticall DVD and they can see all different types of cars a sweet footage. its like...." oh well i wanna fast stadium truck"....*scroll to ST section and see footage and actuall comentary about a specific car. aand i dont mean like 2 guys hosting the show and talkin all the time. i mean like interview an average joe at some hobby shop or something and get him to run his car and talk about it......DREAMS i know, but a SWEET DREAM. if only i was 10 years older, 100,000 richer, and 100000% into rc...lol, the possibilities.

ps. u know whats funny, all this stuff that ive said.....its coming from a 14 year old who gets nervous taking his nitro evader off of a 2 foot jump cause he is scared hes gunna break somethin. thats pretty stupid isnt it?....

Hah, I'm in the same position my friend. I'm 14 as well and I'm almost scared to jump my MT2 off a curb. It is still new, after a month or so I'll finally just say something like, "Ah, who cares anymore?" and do something insanely stupid with it like jump it off my friends roof (it can be done, you can access the VERY top of his roof and it is flat). I have a whole bunch of hard drive space, so I could store the stuff. Hah, I could dedicate an entire hard drive for it, and it's 60 gigabytes.

It wouldn't be that hard compiling a bunch of clips into one DVD, you'd just have to have a bunch of footage. Editing isn't hard, I could do that with Windows Movie Maker.
