Default What am I missing?

I sucked a ton of dirt into the engine a couple days ago so Im rebuilding the engine before I sell the Jato. I have the head off the square plate off the side, the flywheel off and the clutch nut off. I can seem to figure out how to take the sleeve and piston and crank shaft out. In 4 Nitro's this is my first engine rebuild. Any tips would be super.

Thanks,

Trick

take out the sleeve, get some pliers and go in from the pullstart hole. slowly move that metal saft thing off the rod. then it should just slide out.

Whats the trick to getting the sleeve out? I have nothing to grip and I dont want to scratch the inside of the sleeve.

Use the handle side of a toothbrush to push it out.

Another way to get the sleeve to move is to slide a zip tie into one of the ports while the piston is below them, and then rotate the crankshaft. When the piston hits the zip tie, it slides the sleeve out a few mm, then you can grab it and slide it the rest of the way out.
