Ok i want a good charger for cheap that will charge anything from 5 to 8 cells (wider range the better).
I will be using it to charge my hump packs for my Evader, as well as my packs for my Plane (AAA and Sub-C 7 cell), and finally my AA 8-cell's for my boats.
This is what ive narrowed it down to because i can get either one for about 30 bucks.

or

What would you guys go with? Anyone have experience with either one?? The IntelliPeak can discharge, however the digital tells you battery capacity, and can do 1-8 cells and has more options for charging current i think.
I would ask in the electric forum, but all they recommend is chargers that won't go low enough to do a 5-cell hump pack like we use in our trucks.

I was faced with the same decision and I went with the piranha. When I found out that 1 amp isn't really a good discharge rate, thats when I chose the piranha. You could easily make your own discharger if that is such an important feature to you.
The 1-8 cell charger will also allow you the charger your glow ingitor battery which could be a big advantage for some people.

How about this one. I have one and like it quite a bit.
