I know someone with a Team Losi XXX-T with a OS engine that has low compression. I might be able to pick this up cheap. It's complete with accesories. The only thing it needs is a start box or I can convert it to pull start if I change the pipe.
So I was wondering if anyone knows how difficult a sleeve kit is to install? Let me know.
Thanks.

its easy take the head off, take the back plate off take the con rod off the crankshaft pull the piston and sleeve and con rod out take the con rod, put the conrod on the new piston and sleeve, place in block, attach the con rod to the crank and put the back plate and head on, rebuild! wow

The OS engine is a CV Series .15 Engines...still pretty easy??? The sleeve kit is $50, is that about average and is there anything else I'll need?

you dont need to replace the con rod and just to let you know it will revamp the engine but wont be as good as new but it will be good, and if you just save up a little more money you can get a good brand new engine for a litle more!, i was going to rebuild my os 12 cvr but i bought a dynamite .12spd for like 80 bucks just shop around

Good looking out. I can't get a pull start because my pipe or that would be an idea.
If anyone is interested...I have an Traxxas Rustler that I will trade for an OS engine for a Losi ST.

you ask any one that builds engines on rcu
and they will tell you that yes you do need to replace th connecting rod
the connecting rod streches over time and becomes weak so if you dont replace it now it will cause you problems later

its good to replace everything even the carb o-rings, glow plug, air filters. i fergot after how many rebuilds you need to replace the crank because its wears down and causes play/vibration and will distroy your conrod. it will be cheaper and will teach you a few things. like how to apreciate your rc car
