Default check this out!!!!!!!!

ok cool now i have your attention im after a little lesson in nitro cars. me and a few of my friends have nitro stadium trucks. the models differ but mines a hpi rush evo. we all have the same basic problem. it will start up and idle pretty fine but as soon as you try to go it stalls. is it too much air? too much fuel? too little of either of them? how od i adjust it etc etc? high speed needle up or down?

lots of questions

just want to sort it rally but also know why it does it and why adjusting sed needle makes it work

cheers guys

The reason it can't burn up all the fuel is because there is too much fuel. The low speed needle is too rich, lean it about 1/8 a turn at a time until it will idle consistantly and then take off quickly. I can let my SH .12 idle for a couple minutes, hit the gas, and it will still take off quickly.

what if he bought the car on ebay and never got a manual. i never had a manual, so should i have RTFM?

on a slightly different matter, but related, when i go onto other forums like rctech.net, it blows me away cos im so used to this forum. the ppl there talk purely about rc cars, and dont post smart ar$€ replies which are attempting to bash the person who asked a simple question.

What they are just trying to get across is that threads about needle settings are quite annoying because 1st off, why mess with the factory settings when you dont know what your doing to begin with? and second, they can't see the truck or tune the idle for him. Asking how to tune your car in r/c message board is a total shot in the dark.

the little screw is the idle screw. u adjust it so it does not allow the carb to fully closewhen the brakes are applied. you want about a 1 mm gap when the brakes are applied to allow it to idle.

you might want to go on this link to get the manual
