Tires, springs, engine, fuel is a good start. Tires- Find out what type of track you will be racing on, hard packed, dirt, clayect and then refer to Prolines web site and check out there tire chocies and recomendations. They will tell you what tire works best in what condition.
Springs-softer for bumby, stiffer for smooth Engine- (This is only my opinion) I like the .15's personaly, but some tracks require you to use a .12. ROAR events requires it.A lot of people like the .12 because of the weight differance, which is not a lot, and they still have a lot of power. Fuel- i like o'donell 20%.

Racers use .12 not only because of weight and they have to but you get quite a bit more run time on a tank of fuel too. The higher end .12s make just as much power as the .15 and actually can make more rpm easily because of lighter internal engine parts. Tire choice is THE single most important part of your setup but after you get that down work on driving (I don't know how good of a driver you are). These trucks take a lot of throttle and steering control and before you really worry about setup worry about feeling the car around the track and driving consistantly. If you can't drive than you wont even be able to tell what any change to the car has made anyway.

i would go with a set-up 35 back 30 front. green back, and silver front. only other upgrade i would get trinity tranny brace. you dont need all that other stuff. with your motor, get MIP 4-in1 clutch and MIP heavy flywheel. this is what i run and also another guy that races for Associated. hes the one who told me about all this stuff.. really makes a difference.
