Go to your LHS and get some dye dude. Spray paint looks like crap on plastic, and will chip easily.

You can spraypaint them, but if you drive on the road or on gravel alot, the paint will scratch off around the edges of the rims.

The best way to color rims is by dyeing them with RIT fabric dye. Just dump some of the dye in boiling water (doesnt HAVE to be boiling but it needs to be pretty hot or the rims wont take in the color) and soak the rims in it untill the desired color is acheived. I dye most of my rims black.

ouch Bolivia? 'spose you don't have a Walmart handy do you? damn...

what you need is some stuff called "Rit Dye", or something similar, it's used for dying fabric, so anyplace that sells stuff like that should have it..

alex, go to a crafts store or some place that deals specifically with fabric.

Here in the states we have Rit dye, i dont know about any brands where you are.

Alex,

dude, paint on a car chips also.. put the rims in the gravel you are going to chip them.. the only way I'd paint them is powder coating but they'd have to be made of metal to get the powder to stick..

and yes, you will need inserts for your new tires..

alex you buy dye at your local grocery store not your hobby shop....its Rit,Ritz,Rite(or something like that) Dye....in like 50 billion colors or something...also car paint scratches off too...it's not the paint that cars are protected with it's the gloss coat and at $45+ a quart for decent gloss it's a waste on wheels...now chassis thats another story....attaches is a chassis I did with 3 coats candy red then 1 coat candy yellow and 4 coats candy green and then 1 coat green metallic and 2 part polyurethane clear coat

you can paint wheels they just will scratch off so may as well just use the lexan type paints...i do on my gasers it last quite a while

Alex, those are fine man.. here's the deal.. you've got different insterts, soft, medium and firm. It is perfectly acceptable to use a combination of any/all of them depending on your driving style. You'll have to figure that part out yourself, personally I'm not that into it, I use firms and call it good.
