I am thinking of becoming a member, and I was wondering if this actually saves me any money. I'm an international customer and I'm not sure if the shipping will be cheaper.
I don't really care about the extended warranties, or the magazines, or the web specials, I just want to know for sure if I'll be saving any money when placing orders.
Can anyone give me more information on this subject? Remember that I'm an international customer.

If you plan on buying from them more than once a year it can help.
I'm in the states and it does help on shipping here.
They also offer their members first shot at some of their clearance items. I've scored some pretty good deals from there.
Having said that, I've let my membership lapse because I don't plan on buying a lot of RC stuff next year. I'm back in school full time and time and money is a bit tight right now.

Call or e-mail Tower. They're usually pretty helpful.

Hobby shops here are ridiculously expensive. I order stuff from TowerHobbies, pay shipping, local taxes, V.A.T., and Tower is still cheaper.
I made the mistake of buying my first RC car form a local hobby shop (I was a newbie, I didn't know) and I'm still paying for the damn Redcat Volcano STX every time I run it!!!
